The video is “Just Punishment”, referring to the execution of “Allah’s Orders” upon Shi’ite individuals in al-Mahdi Army and Iraqi security who are charged with dishonoring Sunni Muslim women. The video serves as yet another entry in propaganda highlighting crimes committed by Shi’ites against Sunnis, and the response of the Sunni Mujahideen to these acts of aggression. Also footage of Iraqi police arresting individuals and then celebrating.

The second half of the video contains the Mujahideen executing revenge operations, bursting into the homes of Shi’ites and capturing members of the security forces. Seven individuals are shown on camera giving their confessions, stating their identity and their employment. Identification cards bearing this information and the face of Shi’ite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr are also shown in a separate window. Each of the captured, working for the Iraq Ministries of Defense and Interior, in the “Administration of Great Crimes”, and police administration, are executed via gunshot, save one individual - Muhammad Shibab Hussein. Hussein, rather, is placed outdoors in a bound, seated position between a group of Mujahideen. A Mujahid reads his sentence from a piece of paper, and afterwards, shoves down Hussein and brings a knife to his neck, beginning to behead him.

The procession crossed the bridge and halted in a meadow, between the gardens of the city and the gate of Gottlieben. Here the execution was to take place. Being come to the spot where he was to die, the martyr kneeled down, and began reciting the penitential psalms. He offered up short and fervent supplications, and oftentimes repeated, as the bystanders bore witness, the words, “Lord Jesus, into thy hands I commend my spirit.”"We know not,” said those who were near him, “what his life has been, but verily he prays after a devout and godly fashion.” Turning his gaze upward in prayer, the paper crown fell off. One of the soldiers rushed forward and replaced it, saying that “he must be burned with the devils whom he had served.” Again the martyr smiled. The stake was driven deep into the ground. Huss was tied to it with ropes. He stood facing the east. “This,” cried some, “is not the right attitude for a heretic.” “that you silence the goose, but a hundred years hence there will arise a swan whose singing you shall not be able to silence.”
He stood with his feet on the targets, which were mixed with straw that they might the more readily ignite. Wood was piled all round him up to the chin. Before applying the torch, Louis of Bavaria and the Marshal of the Empire approached, and for the last time implored him to have a care for his life, and renounce his errors. “What errors,” asked Huss, “shall I renounce? I know myself guilty of none. I call God to witness that all that I have written and preached has been with the view of rescuing souls from sin and perdition; and, therefore, most joyfully will I confirm with my blood that truth which I have written and preached.”
At the hearing of these words they departed from him, and John Huss had now done talking with men. The fire was applied, the flames blazed upward.
“Do not believe,” he says to the people, “that I have taught anything but the truth.” No trembling of the lips - no whitening of his cheeks. He is going to testify to the truth. Why should he fear? Truth and liberty are eternal, and will live when emperor and pope have passed away. Truth makes men free, and it will be glorious to die for freedom. The fagots are piled around him - bundles of dry sticks. The executioner stands with his torch. “Renounce your error,” shouts the Duke of Bavaria. “I have taught no error. The truths I have I taught will seal with my blood.”Burn him.” The executioner holds his torch to the fagots. “John Huss,” says Fox, “began to sing with a loud voice, ‘Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.’ And when he began to say the same the third time, the wind so blew the flame in his face that it choked him.”
Poggius, who was secretary to the council, and Aeneas Sylvius, who afterwards became Pope, and whose narratives are not liable to the suspicion of being coloured, bear even higher testimony to the heroic demeanour of both Huss and Jerome at their execution. “Both,” says the latter historian, “bore themselves with constant mind when their last hour approached. They prepared for the fire as if they were going to a marriage feast. They uttered no cry of pain. When the flames rose they began to sing hymns; and scarce could the vehemency of the fire stop their singing.”
What is it that the people hear coming from that sheet of flame? “Glory be to God on high, and on earth peace, good will toward men.”It is the song which the angels sung above the pastures of above the pastures of Bethlehem. And this: “We praise thee, we bless thee, we worship thee, we give thanks to thee for thy great glory.” It is Gloria in Excelsis. The smoke blinds him, the flames are circling above his head. Yet the voice goes on: “Thou that takest away the sins of the world, have mercy on me.” The flames wrap him round, his head falls on his breast.
Huss had given up the ghost. When the flames had subsided, it was found that only the lower parts of his body were consumed, and that the upper parts, held fast by the chain, hung suspended on the stake. The executioners kindled the fire anew, in order to consume what remained of the martyr. When the flames had a second time subsided, the heart was found still entire amid the ashes. A third time had the fire to be kindled. At last all was burned. The ashes were carefully collected, the very soil was dug up, and all was carted away and thrown into the Rhine; so anxious were his persecutors that not the slightest vestige of John Huss–not even a thread of his raiment, for that too was burned along with his body–should be left upon the earth.

I gotta admit, they do eat some odd shit and some pet animals in around the world. So far my Cat, dog and guinea pig would all be served up for dinner somewhere, and some of the other odd insect food choices are a bit sick too. Anyway, this kitty does get beheaded to be served.

This method of being pushed from the back of a lorry may have been used by the Taliban but has otherwise rarely, if ever, been heard of for the last 200 years. Image right: The most recent similar “horse and cart” style hanging on record - Tyburn in 1780.When Gay groups voiced their outrage at the execution of two Gay teenagers by the Iranian Government last summer ( click here for our earlier report ), they were blissfully unaware of the true barbarity of the hanging.

The picture of the “hanging lorry” has only recently been circulated on the internet ( Doug Ireland weblog October 2005 ). One of our team showed it and the other photographs to a friend who was researching a book on hanging methods. She was deeply shocked.

The style of execution where the victim is pushed off the back of a lorry was of a type rarely, if ever, heard of in Iran before but which may have been practised by the Taliban in Afghanistan. A similar method, employing a horse and cart, was also used in Britain at Tyburn but outlawed over two hundred years ago !

The photographs clearly show that a short drop execution method was used. The two boys were made to walk up on to the back of a lorry, were each attache

d to a noose and then the vehicle moved off. This would have left them suspended in agony for up to several minutes before they would have lapsed into unconsciousness.

A “short drop” means a drop of only one or two feet, which usually causes the victim to suffer more since it is not long enough to break the neck but creates enough force to sever the neck muscles and skin. According to Professor Stuart Banner, even in the case

of a normal drop hanging the results can be horrific.

“As the rope encircled their necks, or as the force of the drop wrenched the larynx from the trachea, they lost the ability to breathe. The mouth and nose turned dark purple. The eyes bulged monstrously wide. Convulsions extended gradually throughout the body. Asphyxiation took several excruciating minutes.”

In the case of these boys a drop of around eight feet or almost three meters would be normally required to ensure a relatively quick end but as you can see from the pictures this is clearly not the case.

It’s also noticeable that the rope used is of the antiquated hangman’s noose type, which is centuries old, and tends to cause death by gradual strangulation rather than the quicker methods employed in most other countries whi

ch still retain death by hanging as a capital punishment.

The number of coils above the noose was also minimal. When the drop occurs, they slide down and the force of impact can, if sufficient, break the neck which means the victim is immediately rendered unconscious.

However, while it’s impossible to be precise, they seem to have used just four to five coils above the noose which would minimize the impact force and lengthen the time taken for the victims to die. The traditional noose is normally comprised of from five to thirteen coils, with a larger number preferred to increase the chance of a quicker, less prolonged, death.

They also seem to have been blindfolded at a much earlier stage than would be normal. You will notice that at least one of the boys, and presumably both, are led from the van blindfolded ( see photo 2 below ). Typically, in most countries, a prisoner would not be blindfolded or hooded until the very last moment just prior to the noose being put around their neck. This is because, although they will see the gallows, their executioners and the crowd, it is generally accepted that most prisoners are more frightened by not knowing what is happening.

You will also notice how the blindfold begins to come off one of the boys just moments before his execution. But more disconcerting is the fact that in the final photograph showing them hanging, you can not see any evidence of the blindfolds. This is suprising since you can clearly see, in the photograph taken prior to execution, strands of the blindfold hanging to one side of the head on both boys. However in the final picture there is no evidence of a blindfold on either boy. It is as if some sadistic executioner decided to remove the blindfolds at the last moment ( the exact reverse of the normal procedure ). Perhaps so the crowd could better witness the agony of their deaths.

In 1913, bodies of two children were discovered in the Hopetoun quarry near Edinburgh. Although the bodies had been in the water at least eighteen months, a man named Sir Sydney Alfred Smith was able to provide the police with vital information. He determined how much time before their deaths the two boys had eaten their last meal, proved that they must have walked to the quarry, and hypothesised that they had been killed by someone they knew. The two boys had never been reported missing, but Smith’s evidence led to the arrest of the children’s father, Patrick Higgins, and to The first execution in Scotland of the century.

Smith, a committed scientist to the last, during this case Smith secreted away the heads of both children, a leg and an arm from each of them, and all their internal organs. He installed them as specimens in the Forensic Medicine Museum at the University, where they are still used as teaching examples of advanced adipocere - a form of decomposition that happens to dead bodies subject to moisture.

This is the “Field of Skulls” from the war. This is not the Jews, these are the skulls of Chinese citizens that were slaughtered by the Japanese. Japan went through China and killed every man, woman and child in its path.

Last month the Rwanda government started releasing people by the thousands whoRwanda Genocide - 800,000+ dead in 90 days"> took part in one of the worst, if not the worst massacre in modern times, the genocide of the Tutsi people in Rwanda.

The people released are the same ones who massacred 800,000 + men women and children in the course of 90 days as a mob and most wanting only the property of the people they killed in mass.

The release of these killers has angered the people of Rwanda who are still trying to heal 13 years later. They are afraid the mob mentality and greed may again set into the poverty stricken and killings may begin again.

The world watched the slaughter and some estimates say 1 million may have been killed in Rwanda before the UN stepped in and sent in a few more troops.

The Hutu, now without opposition from the world community, engaged in genocidal mania, clubbing and hacking to death defenseless Tutsi families with machetes everywhere they were found. The Rwandan state radio, controlled by Hutu extremists, further encouraged the killings by broadcasting non-stop hate propaganda and even pinpointed the locations of Tutsis in hiding. The killers were aided by members of the Hutu professional class including journalists, doctors and educators, along with unemployed Hutu youths and peasants who killed Tutsis just to steal their property.

Many Tutsis took refuge in churches and mission compounds. These places became the scenes of some of the worst massacres. In one case, at Musha, 1,200 Tutsis who had sought refuge were killed beginning at 8 a.m. lasting until the evening. Hospitals also became prime targets as wounded survivors were sought out then killed.

In some local villages, militiamen forced Hutus to kill their Tutsi neighbors or face a death sentence for themselves and their entire families. They also forced Tutsis to kill members of their own families.

By mid May, an estimated 500,000 Tutsis had been slaughtered. Bodies were now commonly seen floating down the Kigara River into Lake Victoria.

In the course of a few months in 1994, around 1 million people were killed in Rwanda, slaughter on a scale not seen since the Nazi extermination program against the Jews. The killing rate in Rwanda was five times that achieved by the Nazis.

…We drove through village after deserted village, some still smouldering. Garbage, rags and bodies intermingled at places where either an ambush or a massacre had occurred. We drove by abandoned checkpoints ringed with corpses, sometimes beheaded and dumped like rubish, sometimes stacked meticulously beside neat piles of heads. Many corpses rapidly decayed into blinding white skeletons in the hot sun.

I don’t know when I began to clearly see the evidence of another crime besides murder among the bodies in the ditches and the mass graves. I know that for a long time I sealed away from my mind all the signs of this crime, instructing myself not to recognize what was there in front of me. The crime was rape, on a scale that deeply affected me.

We saw many faces of death during the genocide, from the innocence of babies to the bewilderment of the elderly, from the defiance of fighters to the resigned stares of nuns. I saw so many faces and try now to remember each one. Early on I seemed to develop a screen between me and the sights and sounds to allow me to stay focused on the work to be done. For a long time I completely wiped the death masks of raped and sexually mutilated girls and women from my mind as if what had been done to them was the last thing that would send me over the edge.

But if you looked, you could see the evidence, even in the whitened skeletons. The legs bent and apart. A broken bottle, a rough branch, even a knife between them. Where the bodies were fresh, we saw what must have been semen pooled on and near the dead women and girls. There was always a lot of blood. Some male corpses had their genitals cut off, but many women and young girls had their breasts chopped off and their genitals cut apart. They died in a position of total vulnerability, flat on their backs, with their legs bent and knees wide apart. It was the expressions on their dead faces that assaulted me the most, a frieze of shock, pain and humiliation. For many years after I came home, I banished the memories of those faces from my mind, but they have come back, all too clearly.

• 845 BC: Ancient records were discovered in North Africa describing the death of a ruler named Vondracek Beeir who was sacrificed by cutting an inch off his body starting at the bottom of his feet and working up. talk about a torture… yikes

• 454 BC: The rebel pharaoh Inarus, leader of the rebellion in Egypt against Persian rule, was taken captive to Susa after being defeated by the satrap Megabyzus. There, after five years, he was impaled on three stakes and flayed alive.

• 53 BC: Following his defeat at Carrhae at the hands of the Parthians under Spahbod Surena, Marcus Licinius Crassus was executed by having molten gold poured down his throat. Some accounts claim that his head was then cut off and used as a stage prop in a play performed for the Parthian king Orodes II.

• 48 BC: The Roman general Pompey, fleeing to Egypt after being defeated at the Battle of Pharsalus by his rival Julius Caesar, was stabbed, killed, and decapitated: his head was then preserved in a jar by the young king Ptolemy XIII and presented to Caesar, to whom he intended to ingratiate himself. Caesar was not amused.

• 43 BC: Cicero, the great Roman statesman, was labeled an enemy of the state by the Second Triumvirate. Like all those proscribed by the Triumvirate, he was hunted down and killed; his severed hands and head were then displayed on the Rostra in the Forum for several days, during which time Fulvia, wife of Mark Antony, is supposed to have stabbed his once-skilled tongue several times with a hairpin.

• C. 98 Saint Antipas, Bishop of Pergamum, was roasted to death in a brazen bull during the persecutions of Emperor Domitian. Saint Eustace, as well as his wife and children supposedly suffered a similar fate under Hadrian. The creator of the brazen bull, Perillos of Athens, was according to legend the first victim of the brazen bull when he presented his invention to Phalaris, Tyrant of Agrigentum.

• 258: St Lawrence was executed by being burned or ‘grilled’ on a large metal gridiron at Rome. Images of him often show him holding the instrument of his execution. Legend says that he was so strong-willed that instead of giving in to the Romans and releasing information about the Church, at the point of death he exclaimed “I am done on this side! Turn me over and eat.”

• 415: The Greek mathematician and philosopher Hypatia of Alexandria was murdered by a mob by having her skin ripped off with sharp sea-shells and what remained of her was burned. (Various types of shells have been named: clams, oysters, abalones. Other sources claim tiles or pottery-shards were used.)
